How to Enter: You can enter the Contest by completing the following steps:

1) Between August 19, 2013 and November 20, 2013, complete and submit all required elements for The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress (“VHP”) as more fully detailed on the website at The subject of the VHP submission must be a WWII veteran. VHP submission will be reviewed and, if complete and approved, entrant will be granted access to complete Step 2. Submission of erroneous or incomplete information will void the submission and result in disqualification from further participation in the Contest.

2) Between October 1, 2013 and November 20, 2013, visit; then complete and submit the official entry form by providing your first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code, e-mail address, phone number (including area code), date of birth, video (produced using footage shot during veteran interview for VHP submission) portraying a personal account of a veteran’s experience during WWII, video title and video description (the official entry form and video shall be referred to herein as the "Entry"). Videos must be submitted in .mov, mp4.wmv, .mpg, or .avi format, must be no larger than 500 MB in size and must be between three (3) and five (5) minutes in length.

VideoMaker Offer: The first one hundred (100) eligible entrants, as determined by Sponsor, will each receive: a one (1) year magazine subscription to VideoMaker, one (1) Instructional DVD download (from a select list provided by VideoMaker) and a fourteen (14) day VideoMaker Plus Membership trial (total Estimated Retail Value $44.92). Eligible participants will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to redeem.
